The approach
How we treat this — and how we measure progress.
Our stroke program follows the Bobath Concept and applies structured task-specific training. Each patient receives a written 12-week roadmap on day one with measurable weekly goals: trunk control, sitting balance, transfers, gait initiation, then community ambulation. Caregivers are coached every Friday so home becomes part of the therapy.
Typical recovery timeline
What recovery looks like, week by week.
Personal trajectories vary; this is the median path our patients follow.
- 1
Weeks 1–2
Bedside mobilization, sitting balance, swallow safety screening
- 2
Weeks 3–6
Sit-to-stand, supported standing, early upper-limb facilitation
- 3
Weeks 7–12
Independent transfers, indoor walking with aid, fine motor reactivation
- 4
Weeks 13–24
Outdoor gait, stairs, return to driving assessment, community goals
What to expect
No surprises. The first three weeks are predictable.
Day-one assessment
60-minute neurological examination by Dr. Yassin and an orthopedic colleague, plus a written 12-week plan you take home.
Sessions of 50 minutes
One-to-one with your assigned therapist; we never share your slot. Hydrotherapy is added in week three when you are ready.
Weekly review
Every Thursday we re-measure: 10-meter walk test, Berg Balance, Fugl-Meyer. You see the chart, not just the score.
Techniques we use
Evidence-led methods, layered intentionally.
- Bobath Concept handling
- Mirror therapy
- Constraint-induced movement therapy
- Functional electrical stimulation
2024 outcome data
Across 2024, 87% of patients who completed the 16-week program achieved independent indoor ambulation. 64% returned to driving within 9 months.

Maximum function and dignity at every level of injury, from incomplete tetraplegia to lower-thoracic paraplegia.
Sports Injuries
Return-to-sport with measurable strength, hop and stability targets — not just "feeling ready."
