The approach
How we treat this — and how we measure progress.
We follow modern Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) principles. Most knee replacements bend past 90° within ten days; most hip patients walk to the corner café within four weeks. Hydrotherapy starts as soon as the wound is sealed, dramatically lowering swelling and accelerating range of motion.
Typical recovery timeline
What recovery looks like, week by week.
Personal trajectories vary; this is the median path our patients follow.
- 1
Weeks 1–2
Edema control, isometric activation, gentle range of motion
- 2
Weeks 3–4
Hydrotherapy, weight-bearing progression, scar mobilization
- 3
Weeks 5–8
Strength training, single-leg work, gait normalization
- 4
Weeks 9–12
Return-to-activity testing, sport-specific drills if applicable
What to expect
No surprises. The first three weeks are predictable.
Surgeon coordination
We email your surgeon every two weeks with objective measures so the loop is closed.
Hydrotherapy by week three
Our 32°C pool means you can train movements that are still impossible on land — a major reason our knee patients out-pace published timelines.
Discharge with a 6-month plan
You leave with a printed home program, video access and a check-in call at 8 and 24 weeks.
Techniques we use
Evidence-led methods, layered intentionally.
- Manual therapy and joint mobilization
- Blood flow restriction strength work
- Hydrotherapy for early loading
- Neuromuscular electrical stimulation
2024 outcome data
Total knee replacement patients average 105° of flexion at week six, vs. 95° in published Egyptian outpatient norms.
Related care

Stroke Rehabilitation
Goal-driven recovery for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke survivors — from the first transfer out of bed to walking back into daily life.
Spinal Cord Injuries
Maximum function and dignity at every level of injury, from incomplete tetraplegia to lower-thoracic paraplegia.
Sports Injuries
Return-to-sport with measurable strength, hop and stability targets — not just "feeling ready."
